What to Watch: Future Man

Posted on Updated on

Janitor Josh Futturman leads a pretty boring life, spending much of his time playing video games when he’s not working. Things change, though, when he beats a video game that the rest of the world has given up on, thinking it was unbeatable. After he defeats the game, mysterious visitors from the future appear. They put the world in danger, and Josh is the only person who can save it. He assembles a team to assist him as he travels through time, completing various missions as he does whatever he can to try to save Earth from the extraterrestrial visitors.

Fans Feeling “Grimm” over Cancellation News

Posted on

Grimm Season 6 is ready for the small screen on Jan. 06, 2017, but news over the cancellation of Season 7 skyrocketed through the internet creating an immediate campaign to save the supernatural show. It’s not your Mama’s fairy tale and these creatures are no joke although some episodes have been puntastically terrific. The show has a bit of everything from love scenes to action and of course, mythical creatures. The strong heroic lead, Nick Burkhart a Portland detective and residential eye candy, is a fan favorite. Nick is the guy who goes the extra mile, not only for the people he loves, but for the citizens of Portland, human and Vessen alike. Vessen are the supernatural element in the show which combine humans with animals that almost shape shift in ‘vessen’ mode.

Nick is Grimm.  A Grimm is almost like a modern Knight of the Templar set out to hunt down the Vessen which are considered unnatural and unworthy to live or reproduce. Unlike his ancestors, Nick does not desire to randomly kill every Vessen he meets unless they are a bad kind, who prey upon humans. However, the lines are blurring with him and Adalind.

An exciting scene already leaked shows the length  of Nick’s persistence to save Adalind, the mother of his child, who is back to being a Hexenbeast.  Captain Renard, the father of Adalind’s first child has taken her and Nick wills top at nothing to get her back.  Ahhh love. Rumor has it that he might even be compelled to use his supernatural powers, which can adversely affect him.

However, there is a lot of love between Nick and Adalind.

For those uninitiated, “Grimm” was first launched in 2011, garnering considerably high number of audience, which prompted the network to reach until the sixth season. It is about the supernatural detective, Nick Burkhardt, who is endowed with supernatural powers which allows him to catch creatures with supernatural abilities too.

Other members of “Grimm’s” cast include Russell Homsby as hank Griffin, Silas Weir Mitchell as Monroe, Sasha Roiz as Captain Renard, Reggie Lee as Sergeant Wu and Elizabeth Tulloch as Juliette.

Here is a basic map of the action to catch you up on the fantastic series.

Superstore is Actually Funny!

Posted on Updated on

I tuned in to the new NBC comedy Superstore out of curiosity.  I really like America Ferrera & Ben Feldman, and the first two episodes show promise.  There were several times I actually laughed out loud because I know these people.  The characters are very likeable and relatable.  I know several people who have worked in superstores from Fred Meyer to Target.  You can easily tell the ones who are fresh on the floor and the ones who have been there entirely too long.

In this series, Amy (Ferrera) is one of the employees who has been there too long.  So long in fact, she doesn’t even wear her own name tag because she doesn’t want the customers to address her by her name as if they were friends.  I understand.  I do it to employees all the time.

The show is a bout a superstore in a strip mall but I have some serious concerns if it is going to make it in the new era of television where everything is bigger, badder, bolder and catchier. This is a simple show about regular ole people who work in a job and in a town they wished they could leave.

The series will premiere in its regular Monday at 8:00 pm timeslot on January 4, 2016.  I say give it a go, it is good clean fun.

Grimm is Back!

Grimm is back on Friday nights and it is going to be better than ever.  I know one thing is for certain, I sure as hell don’t want to live in Portland.

If you are lost, let me do a quick recap.

Juliet is dead.

Adaline has had Nick’s baby and it’s a boy named Kelly.

Nick’s mother, also named Kelly, is dead.

Truble has been kidnapped.

The police think they found the serial killer and has closed the case.  Renard is happy about that.

…and something wicked this way comes.  It has claws too.  Really big claws.

Gotham is Back and Bat Shit Crazier Than Ever

Posted on Updated on

I tuned in last night to check out the second episode of Gotham sans the diminutive Jada Pinkett-Smith.  Initially I was confused because the little man playing young Master Bruce grew at least 6 inches over hiatus.  He is still whiny.  He is still a pain in the ass.  And the kid still believes he is in control of something, as he fired Alfred last night.  If you ask me, the kid needs his ass beat, but no one will because on TV it is called child abuse and in the comic world, he is tragic figure that goes on to be the “terror that flaps in the night.”

bruceConsidering we know his entire life story, that whole part could have been left out, but alas, it was needed to reintroduce the deep dark chocolate, computer genius Lucious Fox.

You know him, he is the guy that makes all of those wonderful gadgets.

Gadgets Bruce is going to need to combat the criminal element in Gotham; and there is a lot of them too. Barbara Gordon, whom I would swear is supposed to be Batgirl, has fallen down in Arkham and bumped her damned head. She is nuttier than a loon.

Hell the whole darned city is nutty as hell.  I even tweeted last night that maybe the citizens of Gotham should stop drinking the water. It appears that the powers that be in Gotham agreed.

I love the show.  I am totally hooked and since they have introduced the joker, it only gets more intense. That dude is three feathers shy of a full cap. I mean really!  He was wearing a straight jacket like is was some sort of vest of some shit.

Either way, I will tune in next week to see more of the insanity that is totally #Gotham.
