Stranger Things on Netflix

ouos14xohz62qr1dydb4Okay, so I am slow to the party.  I am just now getting Netflix.   Technically, it’s a free trial because I  am seriously a commitment phobe.  It’s cool and all, but Netflix is like a whole new language you have to learn simply to watch a show.

I found a show.  I like to watch it.  I like it so much I want to put a ring on it.

Here is the show’s description:

“A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.”

Please allow me to proudly tell you that I am now a Netflix whore.  Hell stranger things have happened and Stranger Things happened to me. This show is so flipping good with timeless, classical storytelling elements which startles, shocks, tickles and amuses you in one hearty sitting.

This weekend, this is the series to binge watch.  Here is trailer one.

More on the show:

The show is a serious 1980’s homage to Star Wars, It, Stand by Me and oh yeah, it has Winona Ryder.  The kids are adorable even down to the cute “husky” one who serves not only as the comic relief, but the voice of reason.  The show even has a little black kid in dire need of some Chapstick who is a dire had Commando fan.   I was so tickled when he packed his back pack and tied on his bandanna to go out to war with an unseen enemy. Even the Sheriff in his Indiana Jones hat was a force in which one could reckon.

I reckon I did.

These kids are amazing little actors.

Check out trailer number 2.

Come back and let me know what you thought.

Autocorrect is at it with me again. That’s supposed to say I’ve been a Netflix…whore. Not white. Lol
