I have been part of the writing scene in Augusta for years. Lucinda Clark, Sylvia Ramsey and I started the Col. County Lit Guild in 2004. I teach writing at ATC and published my own book of poetry, edited the Fort Gordon AUSA newsletter from 1999-2005. Before that I wrote for the Roses and Rainbows Ministry, and in 1987 started my own magazine in Fayettevile, NC
I cannot fathom that just because I am self published I am no longer considered a viable author. I’ll support your Festival like you support me.

Sharon, I have no idea what you are talking about. Our Festival has both self published and traditionally published authors. Last year’s winner of the Yerby Award was a self published author. WE have several self published as well as traditionally published poets.
Registration opens in October and closes in November. Did you register? I have gone back through all of the registrations and I do not see your name. Author selection is done by committee ensuring that the festival has a cross section of authors in each genre. Hopefully, when registration reopens in October for 2016, you will sign up.
