So this month, I have been posting on my Facebook page, out of the box holiday recipes.  You now, new twists on old favorites.  I kicked myself for not posting them on my blog.

Here is a bacon and onion quiche with cram berry Mimosa. I know right.

Cranberry Mimosa

Ingredients:

4 cups cranberry juice, chilled
4 cups orange juice
2 (750 ml.) bottles Champagne, chilled
12 slices fresh orange, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Fill twelve 12-ounce glasses with ice; pour 1/3 cup cranberry juice into each glass. Top each serving with 1/3 cup orange

Cheese Bacon and Onion Quiche

CHEESE BACON & ONION QUICHE

1 single crust basic pastry, unbaked
6 slices bacon, cut into 2″ pieces
1 sm. onion, chopped
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Line quiche or pie pan with pastry. Cook bacon until crisp. Drain; place in pie shell. Saute onion in bacon fat until lightly browned. Drain off fat. Off heat, stir in eggs, milk, cream, cheese and seasonings. Pour into pastry lined pan. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Serve hot, warm or cold. Yield 4 servings.
