Over the past month, I have been working hard to do this 90 day cash only challenge, and have found that once I streamlined my pending, I started to streamline other areas in my life. This weekend, I turned off my cell phone. I figured anyone who truly needed to speak with me has my home number and will call me there. Amazingly, I managed to get a great deal done this weekend without the constant interruption of my cell phone, text messages, and people who generally don’t want crap.
There are some other things that I have come to realize in the past few weeks. Please allow me to share some of the things that I have been thinking hard on.
1) My Twitter account.
Twitter is a complete waste of time unless you have fifteen minutes to kill while you are in the bathroom. There are millions of people out there who spend hours sending out bits of nothing that occupy your time. So, I started thinking, which is always dangerous, that if I replied and called them on some of the crap, it would be more interesting. Will Smith said if we followed a certain account, that he would follow us back. I sent him a tweet and called him a liar, because his page shows he follows no one. In return, twenty people agreed and decided to follow me.
2) Friends in Crisis
There are just some people in this world that need to have drama. They are so insecure that it takes all of your energy just talking them down. This past week, I suggested to three of these people that they go ahead and jump. You know what, they shut the hell up. I am going to have a peaceful couple of months, without this constant yapping in my ears.
3) I said I would do it didn’t I?
If I give you my word that i am going to do something, I am going to do it. I don’t need twenty five emails from you double checking to ensure that I am going to insert A into B so that it ignites C. Here is the match. Here is the plug. I am going home. You can do this your damn self.
4) Bobby Brown was on to something.
He told the world that it was his prerogative to be who he wanted to be and how he wanted to be. I know what I want to do and how I want to do it, it just all of the other people that are getting in my way. Insert Hulk arms, picking them up, moving them aside. I need to earn extra money. I am going to do it without negative self-doubt and naysayers.
This is going to be my best year ever. I am two weeks into it, and I am making great deals of progress. Thanks Hasheem Francis, I am moving towards empowerment.
I leave you with this quote: What you do to a great extent defines what you become, and in turn, what you are gives rise to what you do. When what you do externally matches with what you are internally, greatness will not be denied. www.HasheemFrancis.com — with Deborah Francis.
What I learned about money today: I don’t want to waste another single penny. I am smarter in my decision making in business and personal life.
